The Methodist Young Adults Fellowship (MYAF) is a newly formed auxiliary of the Methodist Church of India. I , on behalf of the MYAF, would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for enabling us to come together as a fellowship.

The primary focus of MYAF is to unite members of the Church between the ages of 25 and 40, catering to their spiritual needs, and fostering their faith through active engagement with the Word of God as well as guiding them in their daily lives, inspired by the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

MYAF was inaugurated on 23 rd of August 2023, following a decision made during the General Conference. We convene for Bible studies, testimony sharing and discussions on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month, immediately after the Church service.

In 2024, MYAF actively participated in various events, including the Family Retreat at Sattal, the Annual Church Fete, Carol Rounds and Communion Sunday Services, in collaboration with the Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF). Additionally, we presented a skit and a few songs on December 21, 2024, during the Evening of Christmas Carols.

The MYAF calendar for 2025 is filled with exciting events, including more meetings, learning opportunities, outreach programs and a camping trip. The MYAF has also planned to conduct outreach programs twice a year, for which the members will raise funds and provide physical and spiritual support to those in need.

MYAF will continue to meet twice a month (1st and 3rd Sundays) in person, once a month for planning, and every Saturday for the Saturday Book Club. The meetings , focus on discussions of biblical topics, where in each participants turn comes to study , to meditate and to present  their thoughts on a chosen subject from the Bible. These gatherings also help in developing essential communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the young adults to share their faith with others.

In 2024, the MYAF had an in-depth study of the Books of Ephesians and Philippians. These comprehensive sessions were highly relevant to one’s daily life, fostering spiritual growth and understanding.

The Saturday Book Club aims to enhance knowledge of the Word by exploring books that would enrich our spiritual and prayer lives, while also providing time for fellowship and fun.
