The MMF exists for the following purposes as mentioned in the Book of Discipline (section 1453):

  • To lead the members of the local church to a personal experience of Jesus Christ;
  • to develop member’s skills and provide opportunity for expression
  • Through hobbies and other activities;
  • to challenge members to tithe and to be good stewards of their time and talents;
  • to plan and implement effective programmes for the establishment and growth of dedicated Christian homes;
  • to assist the local church in its spiritual growth through its programmes for home missions and outreach

Our MMF with handful of dedicated members are trying hard to do everything we can do to meet the expectations as much as we can.

The Methodist men regularly meet on the fourth Sundays of every month and we take up study of books on relevant subjects. A few years ago started with the book “What is Amazing about Grace” by Philip Yancey.

Presently we are studying a book “The Knowledge of the Holy” by A W Tozer, a deep study on the nature and attributes of God. Members take turn in leading the study and discussions and they do really enjoy this activity. We are learning a lot about God and I believe this will lead us further in knowing God better and become effective disciples of the Lord.

It is our deep desire that all men in our congregation will become part of the MMF and will be partakers of the good things that we enjoy and together we can attempt to make our church, spiritually strong and a Witnessing fellowship responding to the last command. that we read in Acts 1: 8 “when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be my witnesses…….”
